Steel Wool Studios have brought the world of Warhammer 40k to the VR platform in the form of The Horus Heresy: Betrayal At Calth – which is based on the board game of the same name. But, does the transition from board game to VR really work?
Ever wanted to take on other players in anti-gravity combat, well with use and the power of HTC Vive this can now be possible. I wasn’t sure when I received the code whether Skyfront was going to bring any sort of campaign on single player experience with it, but from what I played it all seems to multiplayer. However, this is not a problem because what the game is trying it do it really doesn’t require any sort of single player.
For a long time now Dragons have formed a large part of Mythology. So, it only seems right that now that we have the new medium available in VR gaming, that we get to experience the beasts close up. This is were Blackthorn Media have stepped up, to allow us to discover that experience.
I was one of the people who spent the time to download the demo from Free Lives website. Then had to force launch this game through Steam, just so I could get a taste of GORN using the HTC Vive. Doing this obviously made the game face some issues like crashes – but now the game is readily available on Steam I couldn’t wait to try it out.
